Christopher Columbus Moore, Jr., 87 of Hellier, KY passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Pikeville Medical Center. Columbus was born July 7, 1930 in Clintwood, VA to the late Christopher Columbus Moore & Martha Jane Hylton Moore. Besides his parents, Columbus was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Moore, Zane Moore & Everette Moore and one sister, Easter Perry. Columbus is survived by his wife, Clarice Phipps Moore of Hellier, KY; three daughters, Mary Coleman of Rockhouse, KY, Monica Damron and Shelia Mullins both of Hellier, KY; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren & four great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be after 6PM Monday, November 20 & Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Allegheny Freewill Baptist Church with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 1PM from the church with Estil Mullins, Kevin Damron, Jerry Overstreet and others officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
