Blanche Blair, 71 of Steele, KY passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at her residence surrounded by loving family and friends. Blanche was born March 4, 1946 at Pikeville, KY to the late Hazard Blackburn & Braxie Justice Blackburn. Besides her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by brother, William “Buddy” Blackburn and sister, Patricia Blair. Blanche is survived by her husband, Jesse Blair of Steele, KY, a son, Chris Blair of San Jose, CA and a daughter, Jessica Blair of Steele, KY. Blanche is also survived by one sister, Joyce Griffith of Feds Creek, KY. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 1PM from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Kendrick officiating. The family will receive family and friends Tuesday from 11-1:00 at the chapel. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Shriner’s Childrens Hospital.
I loved Blanche, she was wonderful to me growing up. She taught me many things. I will never forget her. Jessica, I love you, Darling.
