Kelly Raymond Matney, 81 of Lick Creek, KY passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Pikeville Medical Center. Raymond was born June 3, 1936 at Lick Creek, KY to the late Elzie Matney & Eunice Abshire Matney. Besides his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy Meade; one granddaughter, Jessica Hurley; one brother, James Matney and one sister, Glema Matney. Raymond is survived by his wife, Janice Francisco Matney of Lick Creek, KY; four daughters, Janet (Norman) Stump of Lick Creek, KY, Judy (Greg) Ratliff of Winchester, KY, Jackie (Roger) Belcher of Belcher, KY & Earline Matney of Kennesaw, GA; nine grandchildren & twelve great-grandchildren. Raymond is also survived by one sister, Alma May Sullivan of Feds Creek, KY, brother in law, Randall Dale Clevinger and special friend, James Aldridge. Visitation will be after 6PM Thursday, July 13 & Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Lick Creek Holiness Church, Lick Creek, KY with a service Friday evening at 7PM. Funeral services will conducted Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 1PM from the church with Ray Sayers and others officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
I am so heartbroken over the loss of my Uncle Raymond. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. He always treated me like I was one of his own. I will miss him dearly. I pray that he and Dad are fishing in the rivers of Heaven. With Love & Sympathy, Debbie
