Martha Lou Silcox, 73 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at her residence. Martha was born November 19, 1943 in Pike County, KY to the late Arvil Moore & Madgie Vanover Moore. Besides her parents, Martha was preceded in death by two sons, Brian Tackett & James Tackett and one daughter, Donna Fleming. Martha is survived by her husband, Everett Silcox of Elkhorn City, KY; three sons, Bennie Tackett of Ashcamp, KY, Garrett Tackett of Virgie,  KY & Dwayne Tackett of Elkhorn City, KY; and one daughter, Teresa Doyle of Ashcamp, KY. Martha is also survived by one brother, Randy Moore of Elkhorn City, KY and two sisters, Lorraine Mullins of Ermine, KY & Peggy Jones of Detroit, MI. Visitation will be after 6PM Friday, February 3 & Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Poorbottom Freewill Baptist Church with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 1PM from the church. Burial will follow at the Vanover-Tackett Cemetery, Dorton, KY.
