Rita Sue Blackburn, 63 of Regina, KY passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Pikeville Medical Center. Rita was born October 9, 1953 in Pikeville, KY to the late Warney Smith and Virginia Vipperman Smith.  Rita was a cook at the Land Mark Inn in Pikeville, KY before her retirement and a member of the Faith First Baptist Church. Besides her parents Rita was preceded in death by one son, Robbie Blackburn and two brothers, Harvey Smith & Warney Smith. Rita is survived by her husband, Jimmy Blackburn of Harless Creek; a daughter; Denise Tucker of Newhall, WV; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Rita is also survived by four brothers; Joel Smith of Talbot, TN,  Tony Smith of Whitesburg, TN, James Smith of Morristown, TN and Robert Smith of Betsy Layne, KY; and five sisters, Collene Chaney of Elkhorn City, KY, Beverly Huddart of Huntersville, NC, Linda Alderette and Ruby Belcher both of Florida and Sandy Anderson of Grapevine, KY.  Services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 12:00 from the Faith First Baptist Church at Jimmy’s Creek, KY with Charles Justice officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-10:00 on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service to begin at 7PM.  Burial will follow in the Blackburn Cemetery at Regina, KY.
