Phyllistene Wellman, 82 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Mt. View Healthcare Center. Phyllistene was born October 19, 1933 at Jimmies Creek, KY to the late Don McCoy & Mae Ratliff McCoy. Besides her parents, Phyllistene was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Junior Wellman and siblings, Ken McCoy, Carl McCoy, Louisa McCoy & Pearlie Jean McCoy. Phyllistene is survived by three sons, Randy Wellman of Hellier, KY, Danny Wellman of Elkhorn City, KY & Johnny Wellman of West Virginia; one daughter, Donna Ratliff of Belcher, KY; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Phyllistene is also survived by siblings, Helen Looney of Elkhorn City, KY, Lonnie McCoy of Greasy Creek and Duke McCoy of Jimmies Creek. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Monday, October 3 & Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11AM from the chapel with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilson Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
