Maxine Little, 76 of Elkhorn City passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at her residence. Maxine was born December 10, 1937 at Caney Creek to the late Henry Mullins & Martha Isaac Mullins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Harding Little; son, Teddy W. Smith; daughter, Connie Sue Little; grandson, Michael Jason Little; brother Dave Mullins and sisters, Stella Lowry, Alene Little, Jerlene Hall & Edith Johnson. Maxine is survived by four sons, Freddie Little, Michael Little, Gary Little & Stevie Little; daughters, Rita Little, Teresa Smith, Penny Ratliff & step-daughter, Judy Little. She is also survived by three brothers, Woodrow Mullins, Virgil Mullins & Henry Mullins, Jr.; three sisters, Jetta Mayhew, Mabelene Scott & Mary Mullins; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be after 6PM Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 1PM from the chapel. Burial will follow at the Mullins Family Cemetery, Newsome Branch of Caney.
Maxine was a great, kind and generous woman. Our family knew that only too well. We learned many things from her as we grew up, spent so many nights around her table having dinners and playing games. Those were the best years of our lives, and she was a very real part of it. She will be missed.
