Frank was just one of the finest men we have had the pleasure to know in our life. Although we only knew Frank and Marcia about six or seven years they were so nice to us treating us like they had known us for a lifetime and we had always been best friends.
When he first became our pastor at the Blackey Church of Christ Frank came to our house to pray with my mother in law while she was living with us. Even though it was our first time meeting him he was so kind and sweet to Annette’s mom Thelma. When my Mom had to spend several days in Pikeville Med. he came and visited with us there. He was so special and one of God’s finest.
He was one of the best preacher (teachers) I’ve ever had the pleasure to hear preach God’s word and I always learned something new every time I heard one of his sermons. He was just meant to be a preacher and we will miss hearing him preach.
This has been such a terrible, heartbreaking year. We have lost so many family and very close friends it’s just so terribly sad but just like my Mom who I lost in March, I know where Frank is tonight and what he and she would both say to all of us is this, “I’m happy, I’m well, I’m with family and old friends I’ve missed for years and everything here is more wonderful than we have even been told.”
Marcia, all of you children and “his grand babies” we are so sorry for your loss. You know where we are and how to reach us if there’s anything at all we can do for you all. Know we have you all in our prayers and thoughts during these hard days asking that God grant you all strength and comfort.
We will miss him also, and he will never be forgotten.

I’m so sorry to hear this. Frank was special. He certainly left some big shoes to fill. It’s impossible to know how many lives he touched while he was here. Too many to ever know; like the poor, especially when they weren’t able to put enough food on the table. Even people who thought they knew Frank probably never knew all that he did for others. Put up a lot of treasure while he was here, and he is now where that treasure has the real value he always assured us it did. My deepest sympathies of all. I feel certain as the days, weeks, months and years go by, a lot of people will miss Frank Crum more and more.
