Alpha Hopkins, 70 of Marrowbone passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Pikeville Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church. Alpha was born April 19, 1952 in Pikeville, KY to the late Jonah Bentley and Orthe Luster Bentley. In addition to her parents, Alpha was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hopkins, a daughter, Joannie Bentley Bartley, and brothers, Freddie, Allen, Roger & Ralph Bentley.

Alpha is survived by two sons, Thomas Kevin Hopkins of Elkhorn City, KY and Calvin Bentley of Frankfort, KY; three daughters, Jessica Tackett and Zelbann Hopkins both of Marrowbone, KY and Melissa Adkins of Georgetown, KY; four grandchildren, Katlyn Hopkins, Jessalan Perry, Hannah Sanders & Payton Newcomb; and six great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by two brothers, Darrell Bentley & Jimmy Bentley both of Elkhorn City, KY and two sisters, Ruth Slone of Elkhorn City, KY and Reable McCown of Shelby Gap, KY.

Visitation will be from 6-10PM Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 2PM from the chapel with Jerry Overstreet, Teddy Honaker and Jimmy Dale Sanders officiating. Burial will follow a the Hopkins Family Cemetery, Lookout, KY.
