Amanda DeRossett, 68 of Hellier, KY passed away on April 19, 2022 at her home. Amanda was born on February 19, 1954 the late Richard “Cline” and Mildred “Millo” England Gibson and was of the Freewill Faith.

Amanda is survived by her son, Charles “Charlie” DeRossett of Hellier, KY; two sisters, Arnetta (Bobby “Chippy”) Simpson and Rita (Stanley “Ray”) Tackett both of Hellier, KY; and two brothers, Richard (Wanda) Gibson of Poorbottom, KY and Dean Ray Gibson of Hellier, KY; three special great-nieces, Katana, Marleigh & Oaklynn Tackett, who was her pride and joy, she thought the world of and loved dearly. As well as a host of family and friends.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Charles “Bruce” DeRossett, and two brothers, Julian Gibson and Arnold “Junebug” Gibson and a nephew, Bobby Wayne Simpson.

Amanda will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. She had a heart of gold and was one of a kind. Everyone that knew her, loved her.

Visitation will be from 6-10PM Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Allegheny Freewill Baptist Church with a service Friday evening at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2PM from the church with Ray Tackett, Oscar Damron, Richard and Ritchie Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at the Cook Cemetery, Ashcamp, KY.
