Harvey Morton, 77 of Elkhorn City, Ky. was born on Feb. 25, 1940 in Pikeville, Ky. and passed away at the Pikeville Medical Center on Saturday, April 15, 2017.  Harvey is the son of the late John C. and Nora Hall Morton.  He was of the Freewill Baptist Church and a coal miner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Oralene Ward Morton, a grandson, and 2 brothers; Gene Ervin and Rush. He is survived by daughters; Mary Sue Morton, Carol Newsome of Little Robinson Creek, Burma Jo Hopkins of Ashcamp, and Trish Slone of Bardstown, Ky., brothers; Truman Joel of Harless Creek and Scotty of Elkhorn City, Michael  sisters, Hazel Hall of Elkhorn City, Nolly Lou Harris of Alabama, Mildred Crabtree of Tennessee, and Belvia Ann Morton, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a special nephew, Randy Morton. Visitation will be at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel nightly from 6:00-10:00 with Richard Gibson, Edgar Sanders and Terry Gibson officiating.  Funeral will be on Tuesday at 11:00 and burial will follow in the Yellow Hill Cemetery at Regina, Ky.
