Perry Franklin Shortridge, Sr., 64 of Steele, KY passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at UKMC. Frank was born July 25, 1959 in Grundy, VA to the late Perry Shortridge and Doris Foster Shortridge.
Frank is survived by his wife, Beverly Blair Shortridge of Steele, KY; two sons, Perry Franklin Shortridge, Jr. of Elkhorn City, KY and Ernest Seth (Kari) Shortridge, of Steele, KY; and three grandchildren, Daycha Shortridge, Mason Hamilton and Kolton Shortridge. He is also survived by one brother, Richard Shortridge of Mouthcard, KY and six sisters, Deborah Shortridge of Elgin, IL, Sadie Justice and Rebecca Griffith both of Pikeville, KY, Brenda Williams, Vivian Fields and Susan Smith all of Mouthcard, KY.
Visitation will be after 6:30 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the Feds Creek Primitive Baptist Church with a service at 7PM. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 2:30 PM from the church with Ricky Worrix, Tim Slone and Robert Worrix, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Blair Family Cemetery, Steele, KY.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bailey Funeral Home, Inc.

Bev I’m so sorry for your loss! I’m glad he didn’t suffer any longer. ALS is such a cruel and unforgiving disease. Hopefully someday they will find a cure. My thoughts and prayers for strength as you and you family deal with this tragic loss. I cared a lot for Frank. We had a great and fun relationship growing up!
