Flossie Ennis, born in Jolo, WV July 13, 1947, passed away on January 20, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband James Ennis Junior; parents James Hobert Blankenship and Tennie Blankenship, and her twin sister Lossie Blankenship. She is survived by her sister Fayetta Herndon and husband Kenneth.
Flossie was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to her family and touched the lives of many. Flossie’s selfless sacrifices for her children and exceptional skills as a mother have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was baptized at a young age and remained a faithful member of the Church of Christ. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life providing her with strength and guidance.
She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever. She is survived by her children Will Ennis and wife Lisa; Neon Bowyer and husband Brian; and daughter Tanja Ennis.
Flossie’s legacy continues through her grandchildren (and great grandchildren), Courtney Terzic and husband Mersad “TZ” (Eli, Benyamin and Kais); Keith Bowyer; Derek Fitzwater and wife Jill (Emma); Trista Ennis (Zander, Zendra and Zaden); Karlee Kessler and husband Gregory (Annabelluh, Bryson and Granger); Hope Leeper and husband Robert (Savannah); Adam Roark (Austyn, Michael and Alex); Crystal Dea and husband Kenny (Harper, Kaylee and Braedyn). Steven Toth, her honorary grandson, and nephews (and their children), Kenny Herndon and wife Terri (Zach, Haley, Timmy and Vicky); David Herndon and wife Samatha ( Josh and Dakota).
Flossie will be remembered for her unwavering love and kindness and the positive impact she made on the lives of those around her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
May she rest in peace, knowing that her love and influence will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Visitation will be from 12-1PM Monday, January 29, 2024 at the Crossview Church of Christ. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, January 29, 2024 at 1PM from the church with Hobert Kennedy and Robert Rife officiating. Burial will follow at Vance Cemetery, Paynesville, WV.
