Carl Sayers, 93 of Lick Creek, KY passed away Thursday, April 30,2015 at Pikeville Medical Center. Carl was born February 12, 1922 at Pond Creek, KY to the late Ballard Sayers & Florence Short Sayers. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie May Epling Sayers, one brother, Charles Lee Sayers & one sister, Ellowis Owens. Carl is survived by two sons, Melvin Sayers of Elkhorn City & Ricky Sayers of Lick Creek, KY, two daughters, Norma Gleah Coleman of Phyllis, KY & Lucy Mullins of Ashcamp, KY, nine grandchildren & thirteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Ray Sayers of Lick Creek, KY & one sister, Verneil Ruble of Steele, KY. Visitation will be after 6PM Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Lick Creek Holiness Church with services Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 4, 2015 at 1PM from the church with Rick Fuller officiating. Burial will follow at the Hackney Cemetery, Mouthcard, KY. Chapter 140 of DAV will conduct military services.
