Carol Francies Swiney, 76 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Pikeville Medical Center. Carol was a homemaker and a member of the Road Creek Church of Christ. Carol was born on July 26, 1947 in Pikeville, KY to the late George Martin and Nora Belcher Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Dean Martin.

Carol is survived by her husband, McArthur Swiney; son, David Swiney and daughter, Larua Lynn Swiney all of Elkhorn City, KY; five grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Jonathan Stiltner, Zachary Stiltner, Taylor Williams and Sydney Abshire; and ten great-grandchildren, Peyton, Madison, Maysin, Liam, Emerson, Atlas, Kadence, Lauren, Jaden and Leena. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert Martin of Sevierville, TN and Greg Martin of Draffin, KY.

Visitation will be from 6-10 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 2 PM from the chapel with David Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
