Richard Stump, 59 of Mouthcard, KY passed away Monday, May 08, 2023 at Pikeville Medical Center. Richard was born July 01, 1963 in Grundy, VA to the late Charlie Stump and Ethel Hester Sawyers Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Allen McCary, brothers, Eldeen, Frank, Bill, Donnie, Landon” Jiggers” & James Edward, and sister, Daisy Claypool. Richard is survived by his wife, Jean Chaney Griffith Stump of Mouthcard, KY; sons, Robby (Jessica) Slone and Leonard McCary, Jr. both of Mouthcard, KY; daughters, Norma Jean (Dean) Spears and Sabrina (Teddy) Fuller both of Mouthcard, KY and Lee Ann (Brian) Morse of Reynoldsburg, OH; grandchildren, Justin Spears, Haley (Jake) Griffith Mullins, Ashley Taylor, Matthew Tyler McCary, Leonard Shane McCary, Brianna Smith, Austin Blake Hall, Sierra Matney, Tayla Slone, Skyla Fuller, Ethan Brandon Hall, Dalton Fuller, Shandi Fuller, Bud Fuller, Austin Sullivan, Jasmine Rowe, and Madison Miller; Zariah Griffith, Bryson Taylor, Carder Smith, Brennan Taylor, Tracen Mullins, Kayden Coleman, Brooklyn Hall, Braylen Taylor, Jeremiah Griffey, Levi Sullivan, Waylon Griffey, Aubree Spears, Kaden Cline & Aleah Fuller, & Erik Spears.

He is also survived by brothers, Terry Stump, David Butch Stump and Jake Stump all of Lick Creek, KY and Norman Stump of NC. and sister, Sue Spears of Buckeye Lake OH.

Visitation will be from 6-10PM Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service Saturday evening at 7PM. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday, May 14, 2023 at 2PM from the chapel with Hobert McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Jean’s Family Cemetery, Mouthcard, KY.
