Julian Holbrooks, 64 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Pikeville Medical Center. Julian was born June 18, 1958 in Pikeville, KY to the late Walter Holbrooks and Opal Sexton Holbrooks. In addition to his parents, Julian was preceded in death by brothers, James, Cleve and Jerry Holbrooks and a baby sister. Julian is survived by life companion, Brenda Shell Griggs of Elkhorn City, KY; sons, Julian Keith Holbrooks of Campton, KY and Troy (Renee) Hunt of Wolfpit, KY; daughters, Brita (Billy) Light of Lexington, KY, Summer (Micky) Thompson of NC, Lanetta Tucker of NC and Shannon (Mike) Gillespie of Shelbiana, KY; grandchildren, Kiara (Colby) Bailey, Emily (Dylan) Hunt, Austin Daughterty, Shelby Hunt, Patty Tucker, Gabby Hunt, Allisa Light, Mattie Light, Dylan Thompson, Brenda (James) Taylor, Addison (Stephanie) Gillespie, Bentley Thompson, Ryleigh Thompson and Link Thompson; and great-grandchildren, Waylon Daughtery, Jaslyn Morris, Ethan Dye, Jackson Dye, Ayden Gillispie and Emerson Gillispie. He is also survived by four brothers, Ronnie Holbrooks, Malcolm Holbrooks & John Holbrooks all of Lookout, KY, Eddie Holbrook of Sevierville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 6-10PM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service Saturday evening at 7PM. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 11AM from the chapel with Gary Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Holbrooks-Hylton Cemetery, Rockhouse, KY.
