Freeland Fields, 79 of Mouthcard, Ky. was born on March 15, 1942 to Sim and Ellen Hurley Fields at Nina, KY. He passed away on May 01, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center. Freeland was a coal miner. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a daughter; Mitzi, brothers; James and Eugene, and sisters; Helen Fields and Thelma Griffey. Survivors are his wife; Wanda, sons; Terry Lester of Pounding Mill, Va., Ernie Lester Of Groverhill, Ohio and Mark Ratliff of Ohio, a brother; Freddie of Big Creek, Ky., sisters; Gladys Sullivan of Ky., Mossy fields and Linda Matney both of Feds Creek, Ky., grandchildren; Terri Mitchell, Ashley, and Shane Lester, Jessica and Kyle Ratliff and great- grandchildren; Joshua, Tyler, and Ashton Lester and Leighlynn Mitchell, and Cade and Colt Lester. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM- -10:00 PM on Friday, May 07, 2021 and a funeral service will be on Saturday, May 08, 2021 at 1:00 from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Jessie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, Ky.
