Carl Everett Smith, 68 of Bowling Fork was born on Dec. 5, 1952 in Pike County, Ky. and passed away at home on Friday. Carl was the son of George Washington and Fannie Trannie Thompson Smith both of whom have preceded him in death. He was a member of the Hellier Missionary Baptist Church and a coal miner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son; Teddy Wayne and sisters; Patty Sue and Geraldine Smith and Marlene Hall. Survivors are his wife; Teresa Ann Little Smith, a son; Max of the home, daughter; Selena (Jason) Muncy of Abingdon, Va., brother; George Smith, Jr. of Lake City, Florida, sisters; Connie Anderson of Gravette, Arkansas, and Bobbie (Orville) Vanover of Lake City, Florida, grandchildren; Dawson, Caylee Ann and Ally Grace Muncy. Visitation will be at the Hellier Missionary Baptist Church after 6:00 on Sunday and funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 with Greg Whitetree officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie Young Cemetery at Shelbiana, Kentucky.
