Jay Darren Mullins, 49, of Belcher KY passed away August 31 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Jay was a member and Deacon of the Elkhorn Independent Church. Born on September 17, 1970 to Nancy Mullins of Hellier, KY, and the late Jay T. Mullins. Jay is survived by his wife Melodee Mullins, His daughters Suanne Bartley of Georgetown, KY, Jessica Thomas of Manhattan, KS, and Samantha Mullins of Georgetown, KY. His sons; Andrew Valente of Oregon, Christopher Valente of Deland, FL, Daniel Valente and Josh Valente, of Kentucky, and Brandon Valente of Virginia. His sisters Cynthia Keen of Pikeville, KY and Lucy Simpson of Clinton Township, MI. Visitation will be held at the Elkhorn Independent Church September 2, 2020 and September 3, 2020 with visitation starting at 6PM. Funeral services will be held at the church on Friday September 4, at 1PM with Garrett Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at the Buddy Ratliff Cemetery in Poor Bottom, KY.
