Billy Ratliff, 93 of Elkhorn City passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 at Mt. View Healthcare Center. Billy was born Feb. 26, 1921 in Pike County, KY to the late Drew Ratliff and Elizabeth Wallace Ratliff. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Drew Ratliff, Jr. and five sisters, Madge Justice, Buena Childers, Elizabeth Chaney, Beulah Stiltner & Moncie Sykes. Billy is survived by his wife, Ida Bartley Ratliff of Elkhorn City, one daughter, Sherry Ratliff of Frankfort and two step-daughters, Ella Mae Tapscott of Elkhorn City and Linda Looney of Mansfield, OH. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Visitation will be after 6PM Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014 at 11AM from the chapel. Burial will follow at Dow Brooks Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
So sorry to hear of Uncle Bill passing. Loved him so much. He will be greatly missed. We have so many great memories with our Families, to pass on with our families. RIP Uncle Bill. Prayers for all the family. So sorry I cannot be there. My prayers are with you all always. Love you.
