Bernice Ramey, 81 of Lick Creek, Ky. was born on June 9, 1939 in Pikeville, Ky. to Corbet, Jr. and Bertha Ramey Blackburn. She passed away on March 29, 2020 at her home. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son; Danny Taylor. Bernice was a member of the Lick Creek Holiness Church and a homemaker. Survivors are her husband; Doug Ramey, sons; Douglas Taylor and Derwin Taylor both of Lick Creek, brothers; Corbet of Lick Creek and Gary Phillip of Pikeville, sisters; Rita Ogle of Michigan and Leda Carol Branham of Lick creek, half sister; Imelene Metcalf of Louisville, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private service will be held on Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, Ky. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to everyone who would like to attend Bernice’s funeral but with the restriction mandated by the authorities due to the virus this is not possible. They know that your heartfelt sympathy is with them.

    Doug, Douglas, Derwin and family members of Bernice
    Thinking of you during this most difficult time, you will always have good memories of your wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, try to think of the good times and know you can meet again, Douglas you were to young to remember your Dad, and Derwin never had the honor of meeting him as Lonnie was called away shortly before you were born I would have attended the services had it not been for the Covid 19 Regulations. My sympathy to all even though many years have passed since Bernice was my sister-in-law I still thought of her as family. Herman, brother of Lonnie Taylor
