Mary Lou Carlisle, 85 of Phelps, KY formerly of Elkhorn City was born on April 12, 1934 in Elkhorn City and passed away at the Good Shepherd Community Nuring Center in Phelps on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Mary was the daughter of George and Blanche Spivey Mullins. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carlisle. Survivors are children; Joyce Sifers, Bruce Sifers, Sherry Mullins and Dan Carlisle all of Elkhorn City, KY, Ron Carlisle of Michigan, and Don Carlisle of Berea; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mary Lou is also survived by four brothers, Paul D. Mullins of Independence, KY, John J. Mullins of Corbin, KY, George Mullins, Jr. of Sanders, KY and Stevie Mullins of Elkhorn City, KY. Visitation will be from 6:00PM-10:00PM on Monday, March 16 and 8:00AM-10:00PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 2PM from the chapel with Mike Stacy officiating. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, KY.
