Billy Joe Buchanan, 79 of Breaks, VA formerly of Steele, KY passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at his daughter’s residence. Billy Joe was born July 5, 1935 in Pike County, KY to the late Donald Buchanan & Verna Fuller Buchanan. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Mollett Buchanan, one son, Johnny Buchanan and one sister, Betty England. Billy is survived by one daughter, Linda Spears of Breaks, VA, one son, Billy Ray Buchanan of Banner, KY; five grandchildren & one great grandchild. He is also survived by one brother, Robert Buchanan and one sister, Dorothy Stiltner both of Grundy, VA. Visitation will be after 6PM Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with services at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wed., October 1, 2014 at 1PM from the Jesus Tabernacle Church, Steele, KY. Burial will follow at the Griffey Cemetery, Steele, KY.
