Mabel Caudill, 82 of Elkhorn City passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 at her residence. Mabel was born Dec. 10, 1931 at Lynch, KY to the late Henry Fouts & Alta Caudill Caudill. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Forester Caudill, one son, Larry Caudill and six siblings. Mabel is survived by two sons, Daryl Caudill & Wayne Caudill both of Elkhorn City and one daughter, Shirley Ann Caudill of Elkhorn City; seven grandchildren and ten grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Frank Fouts of Eubank, KY and two sisters, Polly Collins & Phyllis Caudill both of Ison, KY. Visitation will be after 6PM Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 at the Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014 at 11AM from the church. Burial will follow at the Rob Ratliff Cemetery, Shelby Gap, KY.
I loved this woman, she was always such a blessing and so sweet. It has been years since I have saw her but my memories of her are great and such a great mom, grandmother, and a wonderful person. She will be missed but she is at peace in heaven and we will see her again when it is OUR turn to go.
