Sonny Charles Swiney, 49 of Whitwell, TN formerly of Pike County, KY passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at his residence. Sonny was born October 2, 1969 in Pikeville, KY to the late Burnis Swiney & Nadine Clevinger Swiney. Sonny is survived by two sons, Sonny Lee Swiney of Jasper, TN & Travis Charles Swiney of Whitwell, TN; one daughter, Patricia Elouise Swiney of Whitwell, TN; and two grandchildren, Maleah Swiney & Jonah Swiney. Sonny is also survived by one brother, Burnis Jr. Swiney of McDowell, KY and three sisters, Darlene Stanley & Debbie Fluharty both of Elkhorn City, KY and Diane Newsome of Ashland, KY. Visitation will be from 6-9PM Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services at 7PM. Burial will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 10AM at the Swiney Cemetery, Breaks, VA.
