Esta Mae Sayers, 86

Esta Mae Sayers, 86 of Lick Creek, KY passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at her home. Esta Mae was a homemaker and a member of the Lick Creek Holiness Church for 71 years. Esta Mae was born December 25, 1931 at Belcher, KY to the late Frank Owens and Effie Adams Adams. In addition to her parents, Esta Mae was preceded in death by one son, Larry Vencil Sayers, two brothers, Shelton Owens & Goebel Owens and one sister, Mildred Sawyers. Esta is survived by her husband, Ray Sayers of Lick Creek, KY; one son, Doug Sayers of Lick Creek, KY; and two daughters, Sharon Gail Stewart of Lick Creek, KY & Janet Abshire of Mouthcard, KY. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kristie Anders, Demetrius Abshire & Justin Sayers; three step-grandchildren, Austin Boggs, Logan Little & Raven Little; and four great-grandchildren, Bethany Anders, Richard Anders, Tyler Martin & Silas Abshire. Visitation will be after 6PM Monday, March 26 & Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Lick Creek Holiness Church with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 12PM from the church with Plennie Gale Sawyers, Rick Fuller & Danny Hess officiating. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Mouthcard, KY.

    Esta Mae and Ray were part of my childhood growing up on Lick Creek. My dad and mom loved them so much as did our whole family! This family are my cousins and their mom and dad touched so many lives! Good people and my heart hurts for them.

    Growing up on Lick Creek with Ray and Esta Mae as neighbors, I knew as a young man that they were special people, pillars of the community. My heart and prayers go out to Esta Maes family, they know that she is in a better place.
