Ruby Carol Thacker, 73 of Hellier, KY passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at her residence. Ruby was born February 8, 1944 at Hylton, KY to the late Palmer Childers and Josie Belle Little Childers. Besides her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, John Lincoln Thacker, one son, William P. Thacker, one brother, Palmer Ray Childers and one sister, Elva Lou Moore. Ruby is survived by one son, Ronnie Thacker of Kimper, KY and two daughters, Dorothy Bentley of Rockhouse, KY & Josie Spears of Ashcamp, KY; thirteen grandchildren, Rebecca Fain, Katie Scharbrough, Alicia Goff, Nathan Goff, William Thacker, Jr., Jonathan Thacker, Matthew Thacker, Andrew Thacker, Chad Bentley, Jesse Bentley, John David Butche, Kimberly Combs & Jennifer Reese; and seventeen great-grandchildren, Emily Grace Butche, Ashley Faith Butche, Willie Combs, Jr., John Combs, Carter Reese, Samuel Reese, Chelsea Thacker, Hunter Thacker, Aria Thacker, Spencer Thacker, Chelsea Fain, Austin Fain, Ethan Kenyon, Addilyn Thacker, Gabe McPeek, Keyona Goff & Justin Goff. Ruby is also survived by one sister, Mary Ruth Coleman of Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will be after 6PM Thursday, Oct. 26 & Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 at the Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church with a service Friday evening at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 at 2PM from the church with Gary Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Sanders Cemetery, Sycamore, KY.
