Kelver Stiltner, 84 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Kelver was born at Dunleary, KY on Sept. 15, 1932 to the late Everette Leon Stiltner and Tilda Blair Stiltner. Kelver was a veteran of the US Army and a coal miner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Willa Younce Stiltner, one son; Bumper Jack Stiltner, 3 brothers; Edgar, Carmel, and Billy Joe Stiltner, and 7 sisters; Manthalee Adkins, Vada Louella “Chick” Ratliff,, Christine “Tot” Mullins, Veila Jean Bartley, Evelyn Fay Stiltner, Mary Lois Stiltner, and Ora Marie Rose. Kelver is survived by 1 son; Keith Stiltner of Elkhorn City, KY, 1 brother; Jerry Stiltner of Elkhorn City, KY, and 3 sisters; Vida Sue Creed, Gloria Dean Thacker, and Doreen Wachtel.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 from 6 – 10 PM, with services at 7:00 PM, from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be conducted Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Ed Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, Ky.

Kelver and Willa raised two outstanding children (men) Jack and Keith. My prayers are for the Lord to comfort the family, especially Keith may the Lord keep thee my friend.

Keith, we are so sorry. We loved that man. I am so glad we met you guys all those years ago. We will miss Kelver’s caring and that hat he wore and that sneaky little grin. He was truly a special man. And you also for the way you’ve cared for him in his sickness.

to the family– Kelver was a good man–one who helped everyone — he will be missed by many–our thoughts and prayers with each of you– Keith–your father knew you where there for him–he loved you, your brother and your mother–all of you came first to him–the days ahead will be hard, our hope is the love and memories you have of your father will help you.
Keith, I am so very sorry to hear about Kelver. He was truly a wonderful man. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
