Elva Martin, 92 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 at Mt. View Healthcare Center. Elva was born September 2, 1924 in Pike County, KY to the late Perlie Ratliff and Zettie Slone Justice. Besides her parents, Elva was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Martin, daughter, Anne Grabowski and two sisters, Oler Phillips & Olive Blackburn. Elva is survived by one son, Bobby R. Martin of Buffalo Grove, IL and one daughter, Mary Zetta Ramey of Elkhorn City, KY; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Elva is also survived by two sisters, Lucille Adkins & Phoebe Adkins both of Pikeville, KY. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 5, 2016 at 11AM from the chapel. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother, Ms. Elva. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as my family knows how deep that loss is. Seems like so very long ago that we lived in Buffalo Grove and the entire area was new. Then at time it seems like yesterday. In case you don’t recognize my married name, I am Ted and Norma Farmer’s niece, Nancy. Marie was my Mom and we lived on Sycamore Road. All the very best to your family.
