Bernie Smallwood, 66 of Rockhouse, KY passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Pikeville Medical Center. Bernie was born January 31, 1949 in Pikeville, KY to the late James Arthur Smallwood & Mary Ruth Epling Smallwood. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Clinton Dean Smallwood. Bernie is survived by his wife, Lois Johnson Smallwood, one son, Jessie Ellis Smallwood, one daughter, Virgie Ruth Smallwood and four grandchildren all of Rockhouse, KY. Bernie is also survived by one brother, Kenneth Smallwood of Salyersville, KY and two sisters, Julie Slone & Cheryl Hardin both of Hellier, KY. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 at 11AM from the chapel. Burial will follow at the Smallwood Cemetery, Hellier, KY.
