Marie Anderson, 77 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Tuesday, November 07, 2023 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of the Elkhorn City Church of Christ. Marie was born November 26, 1945 at Little Beaver of Elkhorn City, KY to the late Irvin Cool and Opal Hazel Ramey Cool.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Anderson, granddaughter, Alexandra Anderson, a brother, Eugene Cool and a sister, Nadine Belcher.
Marie is survived by four sons, Harold Brock (Lisa) Anderson, Robert Eugene Anderson and George Fredrick (Angela) Anderson all of Elkhorn City, KY and James William (Nicole) Anderson of Herndon, VA; grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, Mason, Sophie, Evelyn and Lucas Anderson. She is also survived by three brothers, Cleve Cool of WI, Randy Cool of KY, and Kent Cool of KY and two sisters, Tereasa Cool of KY and Kathy Gibson of TN.
Visitation will be from 6-10 PM Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2PM from the chapel with Jim Ed Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at the Elkhorn City Cemetery, Elkhorn City, KY.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Elkhorn City Elementary School.
Auntie Rea gave her heart to us. Chelsey had the BEST care when she was with her. Uncle George and Anutie Rea doted on her with so much love and care. I told her how I could never repay what she gave to my family.She was a jewel to us. Judy,Chelsey and Haley
