So sorry to hear this. I worked with Ken at Elkhorn Stone and was a loyal client at the Flower shop. I loved Benita too. My prayers are with this family

    ear Maggie & Heather,
I discovered your parents’ passing away quite by chance, and am very saddened to hear of this. I was concerned about the recent devastation in Kentucky, and the first name to pop into my head was Ken Hurst. I was wondering how he was doing. Although I did not know Benita as well, I knew Ken from his work for AFS in Long Island, and his incredibly generous contribution of his time. We had quite a few beers together, and. simply just got along, and loved to discuss our outlooks on the world, and why he loved the way things worked where he lived. Many years ago they went in to New York York City, and I tried to meet them inside Grand Central Station, but we unfortunately missed each other.

Please know Ken and Benita are in my thoughts and heart, and I hope you accept the condolences of someone who is a complete stranger to you. I will miss them deeply.
