Ronnie God used you in a special way. I will miss our little chats on Facebook. As you used to tell me you look like your mom but you have those beady Hayes eyes. I love you Ronnie. Tell daddy and uncle Tommy they are missed. I will be praying for your family . Love you cuz.

Thing about Ron was, he was handy, and he was always at hand when he was needed. I knew this to be true while he was in school. You’d be surprised at the projects he had a hand in. Later on in life, he was a vital part of the fire department at Feds Creek. And his family was right there with him; his wife and kids were there as much as he was. And they worked at raising funds, and and keeping the equipment up and running. And at training everyone so we’d be ready when the time came. I don’ think Ron ever turned away from those who needed him; his service to his country that continued even after he left the regular Army for the Reserves, for example. Citizens like Ron make it easier for us all; just knowing that if a time came when we needed help, people like Ron were there to offer it.

I worked with Ron at MSHA. He was such a kind soul and such a hard worker. He had a devout love for God, and he made it known. Thoughts and prayers for the family. I am so sorry.
