Ervin S. Morris, 70 of Shelbiana, KY passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Ervin was born October 20, 1949 at Raccoon, KY to the late Miles Dewey Morris & Octavia Chapman Morris. In addition to his parents, Ervin was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Adkins Morris, two step-sons, James Bevins & Larry Adkins. Ervin is survived by one brother, Virgil (Elsie) Morris of Shelbiana, KY; one sister, Shirley Collins of Shelbiana, KY; and step-grandchildren and special nieces and nephews. A private burial was conducted due the pandemic restrictions. The family would like to thank all those who would like to attend but can’t and to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Aunt Shirley and Uncle Virgil, please know that my heart is broken with yours and my tears have flown with yours. I will never forget crazy Ervin. Due to our ages, I always felt like the three of you were more like brothers and sister than aunt/uncle. my earliest memory or Ervin was when I was 3 and we lived in Haw Creek. I would sit in Ervin’s lap and “sip” whiskey out the bottle with him. That was special times. I love each of you and you all are in my heart and prayers. Mac, Ervin and Victor are together again! Gene
