Ethel America Bishop Addair; 76

Heaven received a precious Angel on Friday Oct. 17, 2014. Ethel America (Bishop) Addair was born Dec. 3, 1937 at Welch, WV.  She lived at Wise, VA. but was a longtime resident of Bradshaw, WV.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Sally Murray Biship, her loving husband of 57 years, Bernard Addair and daughter Melanie Hess.  Ethel was a devoted member of the Jesus Church of Bartley, the Freemont Freewill Baptist, and Oakdale Center where she enjoyed worshipping with her family and friends.  Ethel is survived by two sons; Kenneth (& Anita) Addair and Welsey (& Becky) Addair, one daughter; Vickie (& Chester) Ball, two grandsons; Shawn David Addair and Billy (& Mamie) Ball, 6 granddaughters or little dolls as she always called them; Charlotte (& Kevin) Auville, Marie (& Kevin) Owens, Brittany Addair-Tracy, Cassey (& Devon) Cline and Elizabeth (& Natosha) Hess. Ethel had three great-grandchildren; Kyle Auville, MaKena Owens and Blade Tracy.  She also had one special Angel waiting on her in Heaven, Kendal Owens.  Ethel had two brothers; Floyd (& Linda) Bishop and Ray (& Wanda) Bishop, three sisters; Sylvia (& Andy) Smith, Debbie (& Kevin) Blocker, and Paula (& David) Holley.  She is preceded in death by one brother Douglas and one sister Glenna Fern.  Ethel was a strong & most caring woman anyone could meet.  Her smile & warm personality lit up any room she entered.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her love for her family was the greatest gift she gave; from long talks about God to playing dress up with the grandbabies.  Ethel was the most precious gift.  She loved everyone & everyone loved her.  She Poppy, Kendal & Melanie are now together forever.

Visitation will be held Tuesday Oct. 21, 2014 at the Jesus Church of Bartley.  Friends may call after 6:30 P.M.  Services will begin at 7:00 P.M. with Pete Woods officiating.  The funeral will be held Wed. Oct. 22, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. from the church.  Burial will follow at Shortridge Cemetery, Garland, W.V.
