Carmen Ramey, Jr., 70

Carmen Ramey, Jr., 70 of Dandridge, TN formerly of Elkhorn City was born on March 2, 1950 in Pikeville, KY to the late Carmen Ramey and Edna Breeding Ramey. Carmen passed away in the Morristown-Hamlen Hospital on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Carmen was a member of the Little Beaver Church of Christ, a coal miner and a member of the 1968 Elkhorn City graduating class. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister; Joyce Styles and a brother; Jerry Ramey. Carmen is survived by his wife Wanda Bevins Ramey of Dandridge, TN; two daughters, Tracy Bross of Temperance, MI and Melissa Parks of Lexington, KY; two step daughters, Rhonda Blackburn and Stancy Wright both of Elkhorn City, KY; nine grandchildren, Taylor Bross, Tyler Bross, Will Coleman, Isabella Coleman, Jackson Wheeler, Standa Mullins, Trey Blackburn, Allison Wright & Anabeth Wright; and two great-grandchildren, Harper Mullins & Haylee Mullins. Carmen is also survived by four sisters, Janice Wright of Petersburg, MI, Judy Koci of Richmond, VA, Joan Kilgore of Elkhorn City, KY and Jacqueline Ramey of Dandridge, TN. Visitation will be from 6:00PM-10:00PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 11AM from the chapel with Edgar Sanders and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, KY.
