Dannie Fon Mercer, II, 44 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at his residence. Dannie was born January 22, 1975 in Pikeville, KY to June Marie Reedy Mercer of Elkhorn City, KY and the late Dannie Fon Mercer. In addition, to his father, Dannie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lee & Lavon Reedy, paternal grandparents, Frank & Cleo Cline and Woodrow Mercer, uncle Donnie Cline, aunt Connie Cline and the mother of his children, Brande Ratliff Mercer. Besides his mother, Dannie is survived by two children, Trey (Kayla Francis) Mercer and Dalton (Kailey Adkins) Mercer both of Shelbiana, KY; and the Poppy of Alaynna Mercer, Marshall Mercer & Hunter Francis. Dannie is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Angie & Chris Griffith of Raccoon, KY; two nieces, Ashleigh Thacker of Raccoon, KY & Kristein Thacker of Elkhorn City, KY and a nephew, Dylan (Catie Maynard) Griffith of Johns Creek, KY; one great nephew, Daylan Griffith, unborn great niece Milani Chirico; uncles, Jeff Cline, Tommy Mercer, Johnny Mercer & Curtis Reedy; aunts, Sherry Hall & Cathy Cline; special friend Deb Ratliff; special mother-in-law, Kathy Ratliff and his special pal “Pup”. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 11AM from the chapel. Burial will follow at Spears Cemetery, Elkhorn City, KY.
