Barbara Ellen Helton, 73 of Lick Creek, KY passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Pikeville Medical Center. Barbara was born May 4, 1946 in Grundy, VA to the late Jenecie Bentley & Gracie Adkins Bentley. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lundy Helton and two sons, Jeffrey Helton & Clarence “Bo” Helton, Jr. Barbara is survived by two sons, Benny Helton of Ashcamp, KY & Homer Helton of Shelby Gap, KY; two daughters, Julie Adkins of Shelby Gap, KY & Ruth Kilgore of Lick Creek, KY; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren & five step-great grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by two brothers, Exodus Bentley & Levi Bentley both of Grundy, VA and two sisters, Sylvia Bentley of Grundy, VA & Imogene Fletcher of WV. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Tuesday, July 16 & Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 2PM from the chapel with Bill Conley, Allen Thacker, William Adkins & Scotty Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at the Helton Cemetery, Shelby Gap, KY.
