Edith Mae Cavins, 73 of Franklin Furnace, OH passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at SOMC, Portsmouth, OH. Edith was born March 25, 1945 at Elkhorn City, KY to the late Avery Rush Adams & Verlie Marie Thacker Adams. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Virgin Blake Cavins, one son, Timothy Blake Cavins, one daughter, Shelia Marie Adams, one brother, John Kenis Adams and two sisters, Ival Steele & Betty Ratliff. Edith is survived by two sons, Virgil Michael (Michelle) Cavins of Wheelersburg, OH & John Eric (Tina) Cavins; three daughters, Gloria Jean (Clifford) McKenzie of Franklin Furnace, OH, Jenny (Bob) Wright of Elkhorn City, KY & Janice (Brian) Bowen of Wheelersburg, OH; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2PM from the chapel with Lick Creek Holiness Ministers officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
