James Randall Ramey, 63

James Randall Ramey, 63 of Elkhorn City, KY was born on Dec. 1, 1954 in Pikeville, KY to the late Herman and Dorothy Caudill Ramey. Randall passed away at his home on Friday, November 2, 2018 after a long illness.  Randall was a member of the Elkhorn City Church of God and was a microbiologist for the Buchanan General Hospital.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Lynn Ramey and a grandson, Ethan Randall Watson. Randall is survived by his wife, Yolonda Cantrell Ramey of Elkhorn City, KY; two daughters, Rebecca Diane Ramey of Floyd, VA and Jessica Leigh Watson of Elkhorn City, KY; and grandchildren, Annabelle and Abigail Watson. Randall is also survived by a brother Jackie Ramey of Elkhorn City, KY.  Services will be held at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 4, 2018 2:00 with Scottie Adkins officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-10:00 on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from the chapel. Burial will follow in the Elkhorn City Cemetery, Elkhorn City, KY.

      Randall was a light when one was needed in any situation. He could make you laugh at a moment’s notice and think when he knew you needed clarification. A brother to me and many people. Heaven just got a precious soul.

He was also more than just the “Lab Clown” he was the highlight of your day. I know my day were also a little brighter when it was spent working with Randall. My friend you will be missed.
