Ruth Vanover, 89 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Landmark of Elkhorn. Ruth was born October 2, 1928 at Draffin, KY to the late Mont Crum & Lula Banks Crum. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Marlene Salyer, six brothers, Curtis Lee, Ruby Vernon, Clyde, Jimmy, Raymond & Edward Crum and three sisters, Madeline Roberts, Lila Crum & Rushie Hardman. Ruth is survived by her husband, Clifton A. Vanover of Elkhorn City, KY; two sons, Charles “Butch” Clevinger & Gary Clevinger both of Belcher, KY; five grandchildren, Lucas Salyer, Kevin Salyer, Brian Clevinger, Liza Hylton & Melanie Wallace; and eight great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Callie & Chloe Salyer, Caroline Salyer, Evan & Lance Hylton and Noah & Abigail Wallace; and two great-great-grandchildren, Keaton & Cooper Blackburn. Ruth is also survived by three sisters, Helen Jo Childers of Canfield, OH, Jean Mallard of Youngstown, OH & Faye Ann Ratliff of Michigan. Visitation will be be from 6-10PM Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11AM from the chapel with Chris Dills, Kevin Thacker & Scottie Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at Dow Brooks Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
