Marietta Jean Snodgrass, 87

Marietta Jean Snodgrass, 87 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at Pikeville Medical Center. Marietta was born April 3, 1931 in Haysi, VA to the late Elbert Fraley and Minnie Wright Fraley. In addition to her parents, Marietta was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Gene Snodgrass, three brothers & five sisters. Marietta is survived by two sons, Rodney (Jenn) Snodgrass of St. Mary’s, GA & Homer Gene Snodgrass, Jr. of Pikeville, KY; four daughters, Katie (Ned) Bailiff, Cheryl Snodgrass & Stephanie Snodgrass all of Elkhorn City, KY and Loretta Snodgrass of Banner, KY; nine grandchildren, Ned (Mary) Bailiff, Jr., Jeff (Keisha) Bailiff, Joe (Jamie) Snodgrass, Chase (Jordan) Snodgrass, Zachary Ellison, Caulen Snodgrass, Tammy (Charles) Fields, Nicole (Jonathan) Johnson & Bailey Snodgrass; sixteen great grandchildren and nine great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Wednesday, August 8 & Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 10, 2018 at 2PM from the chapel with Aaron Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
