Speed Damron, 88 of Hellier passed at Pikeville Medical Center on Friday, July 20, 2018. Speed was born June 26, 1930 at Hellier, KY to the late Rans Damron & Rachael Case Damron. In addition to his parents, Speed was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Lola Faye Massey Damron and one daughter, Sandra Lester. Speed is survived by his wife, Creeda Pigg Damron of Hellier, KY; three sons, Rodney (Madelyn) Damron & Randy (Arlene) Damron & Kennerd Damron all of Richmond, VA; one daughter, Peggy Vance of Highland Springs, VA; and one step-son, Dennis (Lynn) Massey of Millard, KY. Speed is also survived by four grandchildren, Lucas Damron, Russell Damron, Josh Martin & Ashley (Josh) Tuthill; two great-grandchildren, Cole Martin & Levi Tuthill; and three step-grandchildren, Eric Bartley, Rebeckah Vance & Jessica Vance. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Tuesday, July 24 & Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with services nightly at 7PM and Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Allegheny Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 12PM from the church with Ray Tackett and Oscar Damron. Burial will follow at the Damron Cemetery, Hellier, KY.
