Ellen was a very special lady to many people, especially to my mother, father and my grandmother. Both of my parents grew up with Ellen and their children, they had the upmost respect for her. My dad was so pleased he got to spend quality time with Ellen before he passed away, she came to his house and spent the day with him and my mother-he talked about her visit endlessly. She always expressed love to everyone she met and her faith was her foundation of strength. The legacy she left will continue in her family members and passed down for generations to come, strong women of this generation are difficult to find in our society today. Her life was an example we should all strive for: love, strength, courage, faith and a positive attitude, all attributes Ellen possessed. I can still recall her strong singing voice in church as she sat on the front pew with my mother, she loved her family, church family and friends as if all were her own children. I know this is a life changing event and the sorrow is very deep, but Ellen will be forever remembered as a loving grandmother, sister, aunt, mother and a friend by so many people and her memory will continue to enrich the lives of others. My condolences for your loss and let us all continue to live life as Aunt Ellen did with compassion and love for one another. Love, Sandy
