Geneva Ratliff Cantrell, 78

Geneva Ratliff Cantrell, of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her residence. Geneva was born May 20, 1939 in Elkhorn City, KY to the late James Tilden Ratliff & Mima Lorene Nixon Ratliff. Besides her parents Geneva was preceded in death by one brother, James Richard “Buck” Ratliff and two sisters, Betty Jo Toney & Goldie Marie Feldpusch. Geneva is survived by her husband, Rayburn Cantrell, two sons, Kenneth “Kenny” Rayburn Cantrell & Anthony “Tony” Wayne Cantrell both of Elkhorn City, KY; one daughter, Jennifer Cantrell Lockhart of Elkhorn City, KY; seven grandchildren, Mark Wayne Cornette, Matthew Kenneth Cantrell, Lucas James Cantrell, Cody Anthony Cantrell, Adam Wayne Cantrell, Lindsey Elizabeth Lockhart & Ella Grace Lockhart; and five great-grandchildren, Grace Evelyn Maxwell, Kobe Wayne Cornette, Keagan James Cantrell, Cara Lynn Cantrell & Kinley Addison Cantrell. Geneva is also survived by three brothers, Ronald Dean Ratliff of Elkhorn City, KY, Michael Dewayne Ratliff & Jerry Ratliff both of Paintsville, KY and three sisters, Sharon Kay Bartley & Terri Elswick both of Elkhorn City, KY & Mary Lou Hawkins of Shelby, OH. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Friday, June 16 & Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with services nightly at 7PM with Billy Ford and Kathy Cantrell officiating. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 1PM from the chapel. Burial will follow at the Elkhorn City Cemetery, Elkhorn City, KY.     this was a great lady her and her husband took me in when we were playing little league baseball ken and I. She and her family will always have a special place in my heart
