Bobby Abshire, 83 of Lick Creek, KY passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Mt. View Healthcare Center. Bobby was born May 24, 1932 at Elk Foot, KY to the late Mack Abshire and Mallie Skeens Abshire. Bobby is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a song service at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 25, 2016 at 11AM from the chapel. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
We will miss our Uncle Bob who would tell us many stories over the years at our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner table. He so enjoyed his years being a educator and was very proud of his nieces and nephews and encouraged their pursuit of education. Our family will greatly miss Uncle Bob.
